PCB does not want to take any risk regarding Mohammad
Wasim

According to ESPN Cricinfo, the Pakistan Cricket Board
has got his MRI scan done as a precaution. The reason for this is that the
schedule of the Pakistani team is very busy and that is why the PCB does not
want to take any risk. After the Asia Cup, Pakistan has to play seven T20
matches against England in their own home.

The Pakistan team suffered a major setback when the
legendary bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was ruled out of the Asia Cup due to
injury. In fact, Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup and
the home series against England due to non-recovery from a knee injury. Afridi
injured his right knee while fielding in the first Test against Sri Lanka in
July and has been out of action since then.

According to the PCB, he is expected to return to
action in the T20 tri-series in New Zealand, which also includes Bangladesh.
This series is 16 days before Pakistan’s match against India in the T20 World
Cup. It will be interesting to see how long they can come back. With Shaheen
Afridi out, Pakistan may have to suffer a big loss.
